Diana Payne

Diana Payne was born in Oklahoma City to Rose and Bud Payne, (ROSEBUD), where she grew up in a very musical family. She remembers as early as age 4, singing along with her dads guitar playing while standing on a kitchen chair. By the age of 5, Diana had a mic in her hand entertaining family get togethers. Her first time performing with a band was in the 6th grade where she discovered how at-home she was on stage. Coincidentlly , that same place was where she met Grant Leftwich, the founder of the original Oklahoma Opry, where she would later record her album, "You Shouldn't Keep a Lady Waiting". Diana received a music scholorship at age 18, playing with several bands including the college band and 3 years later was featured on the national tv show, "You can be a star". After playing many clubs in Oklahoma City, Diana ventured the highway in an old church bus with her older brother Pat, (also a country artist). Together, they played dance halls all over Texas, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Arizona. "You shouldn't keep a lady waiting" was released in 2003 to the European Countries where it rose to top the charts in Austria and Sweden. Looking for something new, Diana began singing rock venues in 2008 enjoying the change of pace. Currently, Diana is working on a new album with additional writers and long time guitar player Mr. David Golden. Diana gives the credit of her success to God for the gift he gave her, to her dad who introduced her to music at a very young age her mother for supporting her and teaching her to be strong, to her best friend/guitar player/supporter/fiance, her "magic man", Mr. David Golden, to her children for their support and love, and to her devoted loyal fans. Without all of these influences and support, the music that you hear her sing today may never have come along.
