Dawn M. Nevills - "Madame George"

A true believer in music as a healing force, Dawn has performed as a vocalist at The Dundurn Jazz Festival, Hamilton, Ontario; The Greystoke Blues Festival; The Army/Navy Club for the London Jazz Society, and at many others venues in addition to her favourite small night spots and live festivals. You might remember her from Ruby's Jazz Club, The Blue Heron Bistro, and Coco's, to name but a few..in addition to many, many charity functions. She loves interesting musical and independent projects, the creative blending of art forms, and the sharing of musical styles and traditions between generations, and cultures. A poet, painter, sculptor, beginner at the pottery wheel, and published author, as well, Dawn hopes once again to carefully include select rare, and intimate live singing performance venues in her list of arts activities, which also include theatre, film, and voiceover work, as a performance artist, director, writer, and actress. (She also loves all things handmade, the care taken in a beautifully prepared meal, the miracle of gardens blooming in unexpected and needed places of prior darkness and "lack of life"; pottery, its process, the practical and artistic beauty of its carefully hewn, useful objects, and the process itself; the tactile thrill of sculpting; savouring a wonderful glass of wine; the amazing smell of baked goods - especially bread, the artistry and joy of an artfully prepared, carefully plated meal, and the warmth and comfort of freshly brewed, pungent coffee on a cold day, or when first waking up!)
