David Bellizzi

Originally from the San Francisco bay area, Dave now lives in Raleigh NC with his wife Sharon and dog Xena. Dave started out on four string basses in the early eighties but later switched to six string basses after seeing an Oteil Burbridge/Steve Bailey duet at NAMM. After playing in local cover bands for a few years Dave landed a spot playing jazz rock with John Wedemeyer (WHAT) and Eric Kretz (Stone Temple Pilots) where he cut his teeth playing Jazz Rock like The Dregs, Mahavishnu, Al Di Meola, Jean-Luc Ponty, Jeff Beck and Billy Cobham. In the late 90s Dave co-founded Those Fusion Guys with Michael Larson and Rob Borella. TFG is where Dave's penned the popular Tierra del Fuego and Pychotropic still heard today on Santa Cruz TV. Currently Dave splits his time with his Jazz Rock band Forgone Confusion( Richard Guadaganini, Michael Creech) and Yankee South with Chris Lawrence(Cheyenne) Everett Rouse and Tim Da Costa.
