Dan Lockhart (Carmel, Indiana) and Dan Blackard (Reno, Nevada) make up Dan X2. We enjoy making music together. We met on music social networks. We like making music together. we have over 100 songs together. We play the music that comes to us. Much of our music has a basis in blues and rock. Although we venture into other musical territory. You will find hints of jazz, country, bluegrass, soul, classical, and other music in our songs. We have a number of songs that change time signatures and pace. We also have a number of songs that play in 3/4, 5/4, and 7/4 timing. We are influenced by a wide variety of musicians. They include: Dire Straits, Tom Petty, JJ Cale, Maroon 5, Herbie Hancock, Alabama, Metallica, Les Paul, Pink Floyd, Robert Cray, Mark Knopfler, Dave Brubeck, Bela Bartok, The Ramones, The Clash, The Funkadelics, Bob Marley, Rush...
