ADMIRAL C4C
For those of you who are very familiar with the tourist haven called Ayia Napa in Cyprus, the name Admiral c4c a.k.a “the pumpum general” should make butterflies dance gangnam style in your bellies. Born on the 3rd day of June to a Nigerian family, Ihumezie Christian is formally known as Admiral c4c by his colleagues because of his indisputable command of the dance floor. “He is absolutely the craziest Entertainer I have ever set my eyes on. Someone that can tear down any party at any given time with unimaginable fun and positive energy” these are the words of one of his colleague, Dj M.I.G. He started years ago when he was actually 11 years old. with inspiration from his environment and life experience. After the loss of his father in a ghastly motor accident when he was only 9 years of age in his words he says “being all alone in this world at a tender age with no parent nor guardian I just found myself doing what I do which was a way of consoling myself from the pains life brought on me, but never knew my destiny was tied to this.... music...! My life” The streets of Lagos Nigeria were his battle ground… “Music and lyrical battle was the order of the day growing up in the projects” the brown skinned microphone killer says. He stood strong and focused. Mentored by great minds like socrates, zig ziglar, Dr.Norman Vincent Peale, Robert Kiyosaki, Myles Munroe, and many of the likes made me a man with a great vision and kept me unbeaten by the pressures of life. Musically,Bob Nestar marley, cocoe tea, Bonnie M, Dolly parton, Jim Reeves, kenney rogers, shabba ranks, yellow man, beenie man, mr. vegas, majek fashek. Ras kimono, patty obasi, Panam Percy Paul and many of the old school reggae-ton artists really gt me into the music madness he says. It wasn't long before he dominated his hood and his name glued to every lips. His powerful vocal delivery and his ability to flip on any kind of instrumentation with a fusion of patua and broken English which are types of English/ slang spoken by Jamaicans and Nigerians respectively added with unimaginable energetic performance which made him very unique among many. Tracks like testify them, show me love and olenu were some of his works many around knew him for as olenu was even reconstructed and used as one of the campaign songs for the Lagos state governor aspirant then by name Musiliu Obanikoro. He later left the shores of Africa to Cyprus to further his education. On this move he said “I was deprived of too many things when I was growing up due to lack of financial ability or parental guidance of which Education was part of, so the very moment I saw I could achieve it… I went for it because I am fully aware that my youthful vigor won’t last forever and there will come a time when I won’t be able to jump up and down the way I do now, then I will need something to fall back to which education and appropriate formal learning will be of great advantage to me then”. He studied Travel and Tourism management at the American university Nicosia Cyprus and still like a magnet, has remained inseparable from his first love (entertainment) which ended him as one of the most sought-after performing act in Europe’s great tourist haven (Ayia Napa Cyprus).
