CJ Gunn and The Exceptions

CJ Gunn is a Cleveland Ohio native. CJ has been a member of the seminal Cleveland punk band The Subtones since 1996, and is the former guitarist for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer, Marky Ramone. CJ's first book, Catch Me When I Fall is an auto-biographical account of the destructive path that CJ found himself on while pursuing his rock n' roll dreams; how he was able to rise above his addictions, and finally lay to rest the dark events of his past. Unlike many of CJ's cohorts, including his parents, brother, first girlfriend, former band mates, and some of his musical heroes, CJ has survived to tell his tale. CJ Gunn has shared the stage with endless high profile artist across the world such as Fear, Suicidal Tendencies, LA Guns, Warrant, Poison, L7, Kid Rock, ICP, Faster Pussycat, Misfits, Anthrax, Mojo Nixon, Eddie Spaghetti, just to name a few! CJ Gunn is currently performing both acoustic and full band shows in promotion of the book this fall and winter. With a great musical line up that features various local musicians.... Holly Berry who is a veteran of the Cleveland musical scene has been performing for over 10 years in other bands like The Dead Enders, The Pinheads, Subtones, Pleasant Distractions and has been a reoccurring guest singer for Marky Ramone including singing The Hearkbreakers, "Born To Lose " with Marky at The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Holly uses Mesa Boogie amps, Traynor Cabinets and one Gibson SG for her entire musical career. Drummer J-44 recently relocated to beautiful Cleveland, Ohio from metro-Detroit. J. took full advantage of his eight years in the motor city, and his Detroit punk-rock resume includes recording and touring gigs with horror-punkers Empty Arms, Choking Susan and Glitter Trash. J-44 exclusively plays, collects and obsesses over Sonor drums and Meinl cymbals. And rounding out CJ's live line-up is long time friend and Bassist, Rose Kuhel. Rose has been a part of many legendary acts to come out of Northeast Ohio such as Gypsy Boots, Cherry Bomb, Cry Babies and the very successful Rebel Girl.
