These Gospel albums, "Happy I'll Be" and "Mansions In The Sky", along with "Turn On The Radio", "Whoa Mule" and "Echoes In The Embers" were recorded in "Julies Room". (The den in my house where our friend Julie stays when she visits). I played all the instruments and sang all the vocals. Mixed it at Julies Room and had it mastered by either Jeff Martin at Studio E in Sebastopol, Ca., Harry Gale at Route 44 Studios in Sebastopol, Ca. or Sage Audio in Nashville, Tn. I received a B.M.Ed from VanderCook College of Music, (French Horn major) and have been playing the fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar for a long time. I started out doing my own albums when my mom asked me if I was going to church. Well, I figured I'd make a gospel album for her and since that time I've recorded two gospel albums and "Turn On The Radio" and "Whoa Mule", (old time songs and tunes) and "Echoes In The Embers" (my album of original songs and tunes). I guess it's like.... once you start, you can't stop. Hope you enjoy the music I've presented here whether it be Old Time/Bluegrass, Celtic or Gospel. All a labor of love to play and record! I would figure that most of the songs and tunes are public domain except, *Fire On The Median Strip*, *Fog Town Strut*, *Little Flower Waltz* and *Crane Canyon Breakdown*. I wrote those. And of course *Echoes In The Embers*. I wrote all of those. The Dockside album is one I made with the Celtic band I played with for many years. Again, all the tunes, and songs are traditional except *The Dream of Kildare*, *Grandfather's Song*, *The Fair That Summer*, *The Dockside*, the first and third tunes in the Greenhouse Set; *The Greenhouse*, and *Larry Murphy's* all written by me with a copyright date of 2002. *The Bluebox Waltz* was written by Roxanne Oliva the same year. Oh, and the tune *Onions and Bunions* was written by Josephine Marsh. She gave us permission to use it on this recording. This album was recorded by Harry Gale at Route 44 studios in Sebastopol, Ca. The Acme String Ensemble is an old time string band that I have played in for at least 30 years consisting of Steve Wharton on banjo and vocals, Michael Harmon ~ Evan Morgan or Ernie Noyes, on guitar and vocals and Sue Walters on bass and me on fiddle and mandolin and vocals. All albums can be obtained by going to http://www.carneyscorner.com/For Sale.html I was also told to mention that I wrote and performed a tune and appeared in the movie "The Howling"! I was the fiddle player in the band in the beach party scene. In addition to the album "Echoes In The Embers", the tunes, "Tear of the Clouds", "Everything's Jake", "Fogtown Strut", "Fire On The Median Strip" and "Little Flower Waltz", were written by me!
