Canis Lupus
As far as anyone can remember, it all began in the haze of a late night on the Augustibuller festival 1999. The drummer, Andreas, the former bassplayer Daniel L and the former singer Robert decided to form a goth rock band. Soon guitarists Christer and Daniel S learned about the plans, and Canis Lupus was born. It did not take long before Tony joined on guitar, stepping in for Daniel S who needed time off to do his military service. During the early years of songwriting, demorecording and underground club gigs between 2000 and 2002 the members varied quite a lot, eventually leading up to a demotrilogy, and what would be the bands line-up lasting until 2006 - Robert on vocals, Andreas on drums, Christer and Daniel S on guitars and Tony now on bass. Two more self-produced releases and a number of gigs followed, until vocalist Robert left and the band all but disbanded in 2006, after making a single-song re-recording of Symmetry together with renowned producer Rikard Löfgren from Bay Laurel. 7 relatively silent years followed, however, while the band members pursued other projects, fan interest still brewed. In 2013, the album Shape of the Ghost was released on the label Gothic Music Records, containing remastered versions of songs recorded between 2002 and 2006. A long and difficult search for a replacement singer began, and late 2015, Canis Lupus was reformed and ready to get back on the road, now with Thomas on lead vocals.
