beta youth

All Rights Reserved Beta Youth is an art-rock/progressive project exploring emotionally driven songwriting through layered arrangements, evolving structures, and expressive soundscapes. Blending progressive ambition with art-rock sensibility, the music favors mood, texture, and narrative over convention. The brainchild of singer/songwriter Rich Smith, Beta Youth was born in 2014 as a neo-progressive outlet to explore the emotional, lyrical, and sonic edges of music. Drawing from classic rock, folk, blues, R&B, and modern/post-grunge, the project resists easy classification. The songs are heartfelt and diverse, sometimes stripped down, sometimes soaring and layered, but always authentic.
