Authentic Imperfection

Dramatic and unique, Toronto based band Authentic Imperfection aims to provide an intensely personal experience to every audience they encounter using carefully crafted song structures and messaging designed to create a constantly engaging environment for listeners to interact with. With a unique approach to instrumentation that includes using cello as an accompanying instrument in one moment and then a solo element the next, they look to break free from the idea of how a typically classical instrument can live in the larger scheme of musical genres. Combine this with a guitarist that uses layering in a way that creates soundscapes and vocals that cut through it all with a direct intensity that dares you to try to look away and you have a combination that will engage any audience present. The end goal is to create something completely different, yet still familiar for true music lovers to enjoy. Members are Meagan Ballantyne (Vocals and Cello) and Clynton O'Brien (Guitar and Production)
