Aurora's Mile

Auroras Mile are a four piece band from Waterford, Ireland that play their own unique brand of  pop rock.  Their powerful, descriptive lyrics combined with their catchy melodies and infectious choruses set them apart from the rest of the crowd.  The band is currently looking into recording a 3 track EP with the intention of playing a number of Irish festivals in the summer of 2013.  The band consists of: Dave O’ Donoghue - lead vocals/guitar, (Represented Waterford in the IYMA’s 2010) Dean Croke O’Sullivan - backing vocals/guitar, (Winner of Dignity’s X-factor 2013) Richie Grant – Drums, (Represented Waterford in the IYMA’s 2011) Killian Skorka - Bass They were initially brought together in March 2012 as a backing band to accompany Dave and his material but after a few rehearsals everything went so well they started writing new material together.  Inevitably they continued to collaborate and decided upon the pseudonym “Aurora’s Mile” Since they have emerged on the local circuit in the summer of 2012, they have supported such acts as Taylor Made Project (Waterford), The Vincent(s) (Cork), Crafty Fuzz (Dublin),  Found on the Floor (Wexford), and Kodakid (Waterford). They have also landed a slot at Waterford Loves: Live Music festival 2012. Auroras Mile received a lot of praise since their debut gig in the summer of 2012 and they are continuing to work hard as 2013 looks to be a productive year.
