Apocalyptic Lovers

Just when you thought rock & roll was dead and gone, like fireflies on a hot summer night, the Apocalyptic Lovers have returned with their second full-length album, And the World Tomorrow! Picking up where their previous album Redemption Volume I left off, grab your headphones, sit back, and close your eyes. As the needle hits the groove of the record, the Apocalyptic Lovers' music takes you to a time when arena rock and music videos ruled the airwaves. Similar to their prior release, And the World Tomorrow will blast through your system and you will find yourself immersed in the natural maturation of the 1980s metal scene via the infamous Sunset Strip of Los Angeles to present day rock & roll. Unable to re-enlist the brilliance of the recently retired mega producer, Michael Wagener (Metallica, Queen, Ozzy, Motley Crue, White Lion, Skid Row, etc.), the Apocalyptic Lovers took what they learned and pulled the trigger to self-produce And the World Tomorrow. Recorded at Mindrocket Studios where Redemption Volume 1 was conceived, And the World Tomorrow (ATWT) was co-produced, mixed and mastered by studio owner and long-time friend of the band, Josh Roman. After one listen to And the World Tomorrow, it’s evident the Apocalyptic Lovers still deliver the same ferocity that blew up teenagers' bedroom speakers across the world with the likes of Def Leppard, Dokken, Cheap Trick, Ratt, Tesla, Scorpions, and the Randy-Rhoads-inspired Ozzy Osbourne. The Apocalyptic Lovers' lyrics and music may have matured over the years, but there is no denying they embody the soaring vocals and shredding guitars that defined an era of rock and roll. The core of the band is still intact with all four key members returning to write, record and sing on And the World Tomorrow. All lead and backing vocals are brilliantly performed by Rob Kane (Kane, Love In Chains, Steel City, Xander Demos & XDB). The brilliant guitar work and bulk of the soaring melodies are the work again of Sean Magee. The bass playing, and we do mean playing (think John Entwistle & Billy Sheehan) is shredded by Mike Nagy (Dead Sirius, Street Survivors). Founding member Dave Hope handles the bulk (but not all) of the lyrics this time and brings the thunder with his Liberty DeVItto and Kenny Aronoff inspired drumming and arrangements. Lastly, the band decided to thicken their sound with the addition of a second lead guitarists (TBA). Apocalyptic Lovers' And the World Tomorrow signals the rebirth of an era of music we all know and still love. The band is currently plotting an all new set of music that incorporates fan favorites from the Michael Wagner mixed Redemption Volume I and the new full-length And the World Tomorrow. Rehearsals are commencing in and around Youngstown, Ohio in preparation for what the band hopes to be multiple blistering shows to support ATWT in 2025. Stay tuned.
