Anna Fisher aka Oboelady

Recording Artist/Producer/Composer and Elementary Educator. ANNA FISHER has taught others' children since young and was inspired by too many to mention. " From 1981-1982 Managing the Winston-Salem Youth Symphony for Dr. Lynn Peters at University of North Carolina School of the Arts (B. Mus Oboe and English horn Performance degree granted 1983) lead me to accept a position teaching Elementary General Music classes to local youth on St. John, USVI. One of the United States' Possessions, a Territory like Guam which pays into government yet has no representation due to archaic court structures that permit justice to fall through the cracks more regularly than not. Moved to Big Island of Hawaii where I substitued for Hawaii State Dept of Ed and taught as an adjunct professor at UH-Hilo's Na Pua No Eau Center for Gifted and Talented Native Hawaiian Children. My own two born in St. Thomas Hospital, USVI, 1985 and 1991 were filling my days with reasonings as I moved to give them the edge I saw they would need to fulfill their dreams. After getting serious responses to my music in Los Angeles and internationally and finding island life limiting for my youths, forwarded to Los Angeles in 1994 made sense to give us more time together. In late 1995, RENAISSANCE IN FORMATION was finished, her first masterpiece CD, "Renaissance In Formation". In 1996, accepted a position to teach Kindergarten in the inner city of Los Angeles and recently retired after 29 years in the teaching profession to better affect educational reform to make schools safe for kids.
