ALEX HRISTOV is a Flamenco guitarist whose music transcends borders, blending the passion of Andalucía with Latin American rhythms, world music, jazz, and contemporary influences. Born in Bulgaria and raised between the Balkans and Phoenix, he mastered multiple instruments before dedicating himself to Flamenco under the mentorship of renowned guitarist Gaetano. His journey led him to train in Spain with world-class maestro Gerardo Núñez, absorbing the true essence of Flamenco. With a background in classical guitar from Brown University and studies at Harvard, Alex brings a deep musical and cultural understanding to his work. His debut album, Viajes (2018), showcases his signature fusion of Flamenco’s emotional intensity with Latin, jazz, and contemporary grooves, earning him recognition as a groundbreaking force in modern world music.
