"There was this little Catholic church down the street from where I grew up and a 10 year old me was given a $10 dollar guitar and since I didn't know I couldn't play, I jumped in there and tried ... and I've been "trying" ever since. Linda McKenzie is an Americana Singer-Songwriter and Musician originally from New Orleans (West Banker/Gretna girl) now living between Nashville & Montana. Musical influences include blues, rock, roots, old school R&B, country, and little cowgirl music. Linda's voice has been heard nationwide on national radio jingles, countless Nashville songwriter demos, as well as her own original releases. Writing songs and creating music that speaks of the reality, and sometimes comedy, of life, love, and matters of daily living. A former staff writer in Nashville for major country artists in the 80's, and a life-long writer/performer herself, Linda has appeared consistently in top 10 indie music charts releasing creative covers & original music ... songs inspired by people, places, and real life experiences.
