Infamous, a rapper, producer, and composer hailing from Soweto, South Africa, has been an active force in the underground rap scene since 2013. Born Ntshunxeko Nkuna in 1990, his music blends a raw street style with contemporary hip-hop, creating a distinctive and relevant sound.
Influenced by the kwaito music of the 90s and 00s, as well as by artists like Eminem, Infamous began writing lyrics at a young age and honed his craft through rap battles. His debut mixtape, "I Stopped Believing in God," was released in 2013, followed by two remix tapes and the LP "Welcome to My Hell" in 2015. This album garnered attention, leading to live television performances and interviews.
Infamous is known for his DIY approach, handling the recording, mixing, and mastering of his own work. Collaborating with artists like Hurricane Caesar and producing beats alongside talents such as MasterHu and DJ T. Castro, he has made a mark as an influential figure in underground rap.
