Meeting in East Vancouver in the 1980’s we kept in touch, played together at a few house parties and got together formally as a duet in 2017. We've been performing in the Vancouver area at a variety of venues including night clubs, pubs, house parties and coffee houses. They have also played live twice on Simon Fraser University radio station CJSF.
In 2018 The Gravel-Aires released their first album “ National Avenue” an original collection of roots, Americana, Canadiana and folk rock tunes mostly written by the duet. The album includes a Lucinda Williams number as well. Co-produced by Jesse Waldman, recorded at Red Light Studios in Vancouver.
