Julius James, popularly known as Fresh Caps, was born on November 20, 2000, in Michika, Adamawa State, Nigeria. He is a versatile hip-hop artist renowned for his melodic style and mellifluous voice. His musical genres range from hip-hop to pop. Fresh Caps' lyrics focus on themes of love, motivation, inspiration, aspiration, loss, and desire. Despite facing numerous challenges at the beginning of his career, he persevered and eventually became a global icon. His mother encouraged him to believe in himself and prioritize his faith in God above all else. Fresh Caps began his musical journey at the age of 15, inspired by singing and dancing to Michael Jackson's videos. Tragically, at the age of 19, he lost his beloved father. To pursue his passion, Fresh spent 70% of his pocket money on recording songs in the studio. Upon discovering BandLab and the distribution platform ReverbNation, he dedicated himself to learning music. He released his first song, "Birthday," which garnered attention from major record labels, marking a significant milestone in his artistic career.
