Veronica Compton (The Copycat Artist) Veronica is a multimedia personality. Her recent projects are two completed albums. “Home” her initial album, from outstanding artwork through replication is ready for distribution on CD and is available digitally in 49 countries by Rugged Entertainment. Her second album “The End” is ready for digital distribution. Though as yet unsigned or released. On each she is the sole songwriter and singer. Veronica, seduced by serial killer Kenneth Bianchi into committing a crime designed to free him. Was once infamous as the "COPYCAT HILLSIDE STRANGLER”, spending 23 years in prison. Where she was a social advocate for change; started several educational programs for female inmates; positively influenced medieval prison policies to benefit the women; her prison paintings were recognized by the Los Angles Modern Art Museum; she authored a book “Eating the Ashes” that is still in publication (available through amazon.com, with all proceeds she is due directed to support "CHILDREN OF INCARCERATED WOMEN and "VICTIMS OF CHILD SEXAUL ABUSE"); received notoriety in the "Seattle Times" as the "PRISON ANGEL"; earned her B.A.; married and started a family. Veronica's music and prison paintings are heavily influenced by stories she learned on the prison yard and personal experiences. Her music reaches out to the disenfranchised, giving special warnings to the young about pitfalls of life and the consequences they breed. It appeals to a broad spectrum of genre. Her lyrics and melodies cross all economic, age, cultural and ethnic barriers by her use of poetry and sounds from several musical eras. Upon release Veronica's life took a happier direction as a housewife and mother. Her paintings and song writing displayed her satisfaction with her life, only to be muted when she became a young widow. Today, she shares her passion and her life's lessons through her greatest love, music, with her lyrics; her voice and her heart. Her music makes you aware of life's darkest side, but supplies you with confidence for a brighter tomorrow.
