Bryan Schumann

Bryan Schumann is an award-winning, Minnesota-based composer, producer, and singer-songwriter. Blending sounds from pop, folk, indie, rock, electronic, and classical genres, his catchy melodies find homes in upbeat dance tunes and moody ballads alike. With influences across the eras—the best way to describe his sound is timeless. A multi-instrumentalist who has performed live hundreds of times and created hours of music for film, video games, and the classical concert hall, as well as released nine albums, seven EPs, and dozens of singles worth of instrumental music, Bryan Schumann released his debut singer-songwriter album "Bombshell Tree of Life" on July 12th, 2024 and followed it up with his sophomore album, "Heart & Horizon" on Oct 24th, 2025. These two highly-praised albums feature performances from musicians from the US, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Croatia, Malaysia, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, and the UK making them a world-wide collaboration—collectively called Bryan Schumann & The Sunshapes. Heart & Horizon was performed in it's entirety live with the full band backed by the Havana Quartet at the Minnesota Music Cafe in St. Paul, MN at the album release show on Oct 26th, 2025 along with special guests Strange Forest, Andrew David, & D.C. Leonhardt. Besides performing his own music as a solo act, with The Sunshapes, and under his instrumental project Ambient Embrace, Bryan's music has also been performed by a number of classical ensembles including the Saint Paul Civic Symphony, the Augsburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Zeitgeist New Music Ensemble.
