Americo Baptista

Singer, composer, arranger, guitarrist, Venezuelan cuatro and mandolin player from Venezuela. Member of the “American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers”. (ASCAP) since 2007. Creator of “The MusiCoach Method” (Copyright, 2005) for music students. Creator and Director of the “World Music Ensembles and Bands” Program” at Doral Conservatory School of Arts in Miami, Florida, USA. Winner of many awards such as “National Award Singer” given at the National High School Students of Venezuela (1980), “Golden Voice Award” at UCLA, in Barquisimeto (1982), “First Place” at Golden Voice Liceo Lisandro Alvarado in Barquisimeto-Venezuela (1984), “Award Music Composer” at the XXXI International Fair of Barquisimeto (2002), Recognition from The National Congress of Venezuela as composer of VENEZUELA SERAS LIBRE” (2003). He participated in nine musical recordings with the Venezuelan “Vocal Ensemble Barquisimeto 4” in which he did many International tours and received importants awards; Lyric Composer of the main theme for the International telenovela “Soñar no cuesta nada” recorded in Miami-USA; Guest musician on instructional DVD “Cuatro of Venezuela” by Hernán Gamboa (2008), Finalist composer in the “Miami International Song Festival” (2009) , special guest in the tour “Sonidos de Latinoamerica” with Nicolas Real around 8 cities in USA (2009-2010), Guest musician on DVD “En primera fila” by Franco De Vita (2011), Guest Musicians on “Saul Vera Ensemble” (2011), Leo Quintero project (2011), Guest composer in the musical production of Barquisimeto 4 (2011).
