“Evan Pharmakis, previous vocalist and co-founder of Vanna, recently released his second album, Darker Nights; an EP filled with meaningful lyrics and sincerity, something that few artists have the courage to express. The opening track, “Into the Night,” continues the theme of his previous work, but Evan’s voice takes it to the next level. The melody grows more powerful until ending softly just as it began. "Level head" contrasts nicely with strong riffs, and portrays a solid message that could capture anybody’s attention. The third song “True North” shifts to a softer theme. The classic sensation that comes with this style of music could make anyone nostalgic. “Greenfield St.” has a back-and-forth rhythm that's quite innovative but the tune changes yet again, at the chorus.
