“Wind In Sails is the solo project of Evan Phermakis (ex member of the band ''Vanna''). A man who used to be a front-man in a strongly influential post-hardcore band, is now on his own, writing positive songs with his acoustic guitar and delighting us with music in the vein of ''City & Colour,'' ''Bon Iver,'' and ''Bright Eyes.'' The album goes on with gorgeous mind-blowing tracks. I repeat, if you like City & Colour, you will instantly adore Wind In Sails. For our luck, Evan's first release was a full-length. When I first listened to the album, I didn't want to skip any single song, every song is perfect. Overall this record was good all around, Don't sleep on this one, mark my words: you will absolutely love this record, whether you listen to folk, indie, or even heavier music, too. As for today it became one of my favorite albums of the year and it is also perfect for the season. Let's hope he continues to release wonderful music. 10/10”

Q: Hi there, I think ur album sounds fantastic, Im wondering about vocal tracks, do you use any kind of autotune/pitchshift algorythm ?

A: Hey! Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoy the album! I actually don't use autotune or pitch shifting on my vocals. I'm more about the best possible natural sound. I like to be able to truly perform what ever I put on my album tracks. In a world where everyone is going crazy with all that stuff I'd rather be real and keep my music as natural as I can. Do however enjoy using reverb on my vocals. I like a dreamy sound for sure!
