Bio: The Space Sharks – Driving Rock and Roll!
For big guitars, hard-hitting drums and a dose of psychedelia, crank up The Space Sharks! From the fast and heavy "Run For Cover," to the acoustic/electric "Perfect," recording the debut CD has been a thrill for the band.

“The blistering power-trio rock sounds of The Space Sharks is a surprisingly fresh mix of Classic Rock and 60′s garage psychedelia with just a tad of tripped out guitary Spacerock in the mix. On the info promo-sheet the band says they recorded all the songs on first or second take, so not to over work or over produce their sound. It works! The sound is fresh, loud, blistering sunshine acid melody with swirling psychedelic guitars and occasional flute. This self titled, self released, debut CD has 9 songs, the short album clocking in at just about 33 minutes. It is very energetic and melodic sounding, bursting with spontaneity, this is some feelgood summer music I really enjoyed on the very first spin. It’s accessible like Classic Rock and 60′s garage sounds, with some Floydian spacey moments, with acid guitars and phased vocals. The highlight tracks for me are Run For Cover, as well as Satellites, Apocalypse and Spinning ‘Round. A highly recommended purchase.”

Q: What is the next cd going to sound like compared to this one?
A: Thank you so much for asking! Our last CD was a bit eclectic, kind of all-over-the-place genre-wise, with some songs hard rocking (Run For Cover) others a bit poppy (Sunshine Girl), dramatic (Satellites) or even funky (Some Fantastic). Although the varied nature of the songs might be the very thing that some people liked about the CD, this time 'round there seems to be a theme running though the songs about government spying and surveillance, with so many cameras recording our everyday lives. It's a 21st century state of mind. It's not going to be a concept album per se, but that's an undercurrent that will pop up occasionally from song to song. It wont be a darker CD, however; we are still going to be rocking out, and of course we ALWAYS have a great time when we write and record our songs. We think this is the best collection of songs we've ever written. We're also keeping the same formula of using the first or second take to preserve that fresh, spontaneous feel that people really dug on our last CD. I think the positive response to our last CD has really given us the confidence to really make something we could've never even thought of a couple of years ago, as far as being a bit more ambitious with concepts, arrangements and performances. We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, as far as a completion date. All of my guitar-parts and vocals are done. Woo hoo! We're putting the finishing touches on backing vocals (Brian's harmonies really make a huge difference!) and guest-star Bump has been adding some trippy synth sounds from his 70s vintage synths to add an extra layer of psychedelic goodness on a few tracks!!! Buckle up; this is going to be a good one!!!!! Thanks again for asking! Rock on! Lon
