The concert series was designed to promote a healthy lifestyle so we market to surrounding businesses so that they can come over to the park and walk in the sun while listening to a band perform. The park we use is Prairie Sky Park and there is a path around the park for people to walk, but for the most part, sit and listen to the music.

    Sat Jul 19 12:00pm

The event is held at Casey Jones Park on the east side of the Town of Elizabeth, about 43 miles south east of Denver. This two-day extravaganza provides a comprehensive education on Celtic heritage, and loads of local Scottish Clan societies will be on hand to help you learn about your family’s heritage. Of course, instead of finding you are related to royalty you may find your people were horse thieves who fought for whoever paid the highest, but I digress. Animals play a significant role in Celtic heritage, and the Elizabeth Celtic Festival embraces this tradition by having several animal-related exhibits, including demonstrations by herding dogs. There is also a large children’s area at the festival that will include such activities as craft making and story telling. No Celtic festival would be complete without music and dancing and this one features local bands Dancing demonstrations will be provided by the Colorado Welsh Dancers, and the Bennett School of Irish Dance. Many festival goers are sure to be kicking up their kilts as well. In addition to the endless entertainment there will be many contests and great feats performed at the festival, including competition in highland games and highland dance, piping, rugby and even a haggis toss. There will also be Scotch and Irish whiskey tasting and a Bonny Knees Contest (only men in kilts may enter).
