Q: Hey Steve , I love the way you all are jamming on First Circle and Third Wind , being a Pat Matheny fan myself who else is some of your favorite artists that inspire you ? Your sound is awesome !
A: In my opinion, Pat Metheny is the greatest living improviser. His ideas always inspire me. I love how he takes an idea and develops it. But even more impressive is his writing! Just superb. Michael Brecker is another musician who inspires me on that level. Chris Potter, Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, the Moutin Reunion Quartet... all fit in the "inspire" category. Hope that you find some time to check out a few of these folks.
