Bio
Richard is an award-winning singer/songwriter/producer who has released 9 CD's of original music. He formed the Richard Walton Group in 1991, in support of the release of his 2nd CD "Out Of Bounds". The group, one of the first in the Mid-Atlantic area in the genre of smooth jazz, currently has released 5 CD's and gained national airplay. He also is a founding member of the contemporary Christian trio Straight On Red, who released it's debut CD in 2008.

Richard is now accepting beginning guitar, bass guitar, popular music and songwriting students at his studio in Ellicott City (or mobile in surrounding areas) Music soothes the soul and is one of God's greatest gifts!
Richard has 30 years of experience in the musical realm of performing, recording, producing & co-writing with a variety of artists of all genres. He has earned 34 songwriting awards and produced numberous sessions; resulting in many CD releases.
