This event features guitarist Richard Gilewitz, veteran performer and entertainer who delivers a kaleidoscopic mixture of instrumental selections sprinkled with rib-tickling tales from the road. Recognized in the international field as a compelling performer Richard brings to the stage an entertaining show teeming with sounds of folk, traditional, blues, Americana, and classical while topping off songs with stories about his adventures of a touring musician. He is known for consistently fascinating listeners with his 6 and 12-string finger gymnastics in a unique voice that includes the expanse of his influences. His use of banjo style picking patterns, classical arpeggios, tapping and harmonics, as well as a rhythmic and percussive approach, bring a fresh impression to the listener. The short concert is followed by Guitars & Gear, an insider look at tips of the trade, how to select a guitar and accessories and fingerstyle techniques during a Q & A session.
