"With over 14 years in the music business, Ravinwolf knows a thing or two..." -The Seattle Post Intelligencer
With an Acoustic Heart, Rävinwolf is a powerhouse of tenacious talent driven by a long-lived love of live music. - Southside Johnny Productions
Rävinwolf's brand of Acoustic Americana Folk Rock Blues is a blending of traditional and contemporary back-porch stylings, influenced by folk blues & gospel music and native heritage from time spent in the Deep South... an Ozark & Appalachian mix of oral folk traditions in singer-songwriter format coupled with a strong Northwest-outlaw desert sage country influence paralleling more recent experiences....all combined to produce a happy-hippy-cowboy-tipping acoustic phenomenon know as Ravinwolf.

With their brand new, 13-song album, Rävinwolf II: Buttons and Freedom they have certainly set forth to define their signature sound. At once lyrical & punchy, it is a musical, if not mystical, journey that surrounds the listener with walls of soaring vocals. Nestled in the lush layerings of acoustic guitars and creative rhythms lie the thought provoking lyrics within the quality song crafting for which they're known. Enjoy the front porch blues, the homespun jams, the folk art... as sweet as honey, the spicy stories of well seasoned musicians, shakened and stirred, held high in the Sun, distilled with peace, love, hope, faith and strained through the eyes of the World. A year in the making, Rävinwolf II: Buttons and Freedom was recorded at Cascade Productions in CleElum, WA, under the engineering expertise of Allen Larsen and features some of the Northwest's finest musicians...Drums & Percussion: Garey Williams, Stu Anderson, Allen Larsen, Bass Guitar: Chris Cernick, Cello: Bret Smith. With an acoustic heart, "Buttons and Freedom" is a personal snapshot of their musical lives in the tumbledown sageland they've grown to know and love and is dedicated to the loving memory of their band mascot Spanky Abigail the wire-fox terrier whom many knew and loved. Available at their online store now! Available in retail outlets in Washington State! VISIT www.ravinwolf.com for details!
Ravinwolf's debut Album "How are You" is a snapshot of their early touring days in the Pacific Northwest... recorded at Gung Ho Studios in Eugene, Ore., under the engineering expertise of Billy Barnett, "How Are You" features Travis Yost on percussion and Grant Perry on Bass Guitar. A live moment in time, "How Are You" was recorded during a 2 week marathon session for Ravinwolf in the rainy Willamette Winter of 1998. Formally released in June of 1998, it is acoustic rock at it's finest. Complete with enough folk stories, soulful serenades, sizzling guitars, and tumbling melodies to suit any mood. Capture the Raven. Capture the Wolf on this full length debut release, available at their online store now!
10% of all 'How Are You?' album sales is donated directly to the World Society for the Protection of Animals, a cause near and dear to our hearts.
We urge everyone to visit WSPA and learn more about what's being done to help animals in need...through disaster relief, rehabilitation & rescue programs and much much more.
