Pauli Saksa

Pauli Saksa is a free-time guitarist and composer, living in Helsinki, Finland. Through the years I have been playing in local bands and with friends. In addition, compositions of pop, rock, jazz, latin or ethnic styles and mixing these styles and elements have seen daylight. Music is a fascinating universe to explore, learn, honour and enjoy endlessly. I collected recently a set of musical pieces onto a record, both for enjoyment and spread my sonic message to universe. I enjoy the studio work as it provides possibility to finalise the musical structure and audio performance in detail. Debut jazz record Fragments & Fusion has been released in March 2011. It covers twelve instrumental musical tracks in fusion style with pop-rock-latin flavor. Talented local musicians formed accompanying playing and soloing team and in two tunes also Finnish traditional stringed instrument kantele expands the sonic landscape (tracks 5 and 11). --- I mainly use are Gibson Les Paul Custom, Fender Telecaster Custom FMT HH and Sanden steel-string acoustic guitars. Right now in 2025 towards 2026 we play with trio-quartet composition drums, bass and guitar and we are preparing to add keyboard and horn to band.
