MOONSHINE HOLLER combines the adroit talents and musical experience of Paula Bradley (vocals, guitar, banjo and banjo ukulele) and Pete Killeen (fiddle, mando, guitar, banjo.)They are sometimes joined by Rafe Wolman or Marco DePaolis to perform as an old-time trio. Both Paula and Pete have toured and played with a who’s who of traditional music powerhouses, and together they blend their love of old-time music into a lively duet that delights audiences with a smorgasbord of tunes and songs from America's rich musical heritage.
MOONSHINE HOLLER started as the duet of Paula Bradley and her late husband, Bill Dillof, and they performed together for over 20 years, captivating audiences with their humor and heartfelt music performed on a carload of instruments. Their devotion to and knowledge of traditional music engaged, educated and entertained audiences across the country and abroad.
Paula continues this old time mission, pairing up with some amazing musicians who share her love of American vital traditional music, including: Pete Killeen, Rafe Wolman, Ambrose Verdibello and Darren Wallace.
Moonshine Holler is available for concerts, weddings, parties, barn mitzvahs, library shows, dances and gatherings of all sorts where having a big ole time is the aim! Sometimes rowdy, sometimes reverent, always a RUCKUS!
PAULA'S SHORT BIO:
A West Virginia-born multi-instrumentalist residing in the Berkshires, Paula has been involved in old-time and roots music for many years. Known for her strong, spirited vocals, she has toured (on banjo) with old-time darlings "Uncle Earl"; with old-time powerhouse Bruce Molsky (on guitar and banjo uke); and recorded and toured with Tony Trischka and Bruce as part of the acoustic roots trio "Jawbone". She was also a founding member of the popular New England honkytonk combo (on piano) "Girl Howdy,” and with her late husband, Bill Dillof, “Moonshine Holler.” Currently, she also leads her own popular juke joint swing combo “Miss Paula & The Twangbusters."
