Q: Is it true that your mother was the inspiration for Rudolph's girlfriend's name in the Romeo Muller classic "Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer"?

A: When my dad, John Miles, was in the Army he was stationed in Alexandria, VA outside of Washington D.C. His best friend, an Army buddy by the name of Ken Donnelly of NYC, was also a song & comedy partner of his. After Dad and my mom, Clarice, were married they went to NYC to visit Ken. Ken's artistic cohort, Romeo Muller, was on hand as well. A number of years later, when Romeo was writing Rudolph, he shared some of his ideas with Ken. In discussing ideas for a name for Rudolph's girlfriend, my mom came up, because Romeo always liked her name.
