I've played guitar for almost 40 years but not yet professionally. Some of my early influences are guitar players such as Larry Carlton, Al Di Meola, Phil Keaggy, and Allan Holdsworth. In addition to playing acoustic and electric guitar, I also play bass so I can add bass lines to stuff I do at home. I still love good old classic rock tunes plus some of the heavier stuff from the 90s and this past decade (yes, my amp goes to '11'). You might also catch me listening to a little fusion, flamenco, or a little bit of country.
The guitar in my profile pic has a great backstory. I've loved Larrivee guitars for years and finally bought a pre-owned Larrivee last summer. It was originally owned by, the one and only, Bruce Cockburn and was originally built by Jean Larrivee and one his Jean's apprentices, Tony Duggan-Smith. Bruce needed to sell it back to Ring Music in the early 80s for some reason. The sales guy (Tony) sold it to the second owner who toured with it all over the world. I became the luck third owner last summer. You gotta love Craigslist sometimes.
This is going to be a fun journey that I'm looking forward to sharing with others through this site.
