Logical Fleadh plays Irish and Scottish traditional music with rock "oomph" and Chicago style. The band's high-spirited music pairs traditional Irish and Scottish fiddle tunes and songs with a driving rock rhythm section, creating music that appeals to dancers, drinkers, and listeners alike.
Logical Fleadh features Ethan Sellers (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Emily Albright (fiddle, vocals), Dana Joras (flutes, whistles, vocals), Joe Kilroy (tenor banjo, mandolin, bouzouki) Nathan Britsch (bass), and Patrick Buzby (drum kit and bodhran) - most of whom have played together in either the traditional Celtic band Character Fleadh or the progressive rock band Tautologic. Since the new group is a partial hybrid of his two bands, it was inevitable that pun-loving bandleader Sellers would dub the band Logical Fleadh.
Inspired by contemporary traditional players, the members' previous band experiences gave them the credentials as traditional and rock musicians needed to play their vibrant hybrid of both styles. As professional musicians with experience playing at a wide range of events and venues, Logical Fleadh's professionalism and ability to scale its volume allow it to work equally well in the corner of a pub, on a concert stage, or at private and corporate events or weddings.
