It was the end of 2018 when Kenny Freeman walked out of his office job for the last time and hit the road with his wife, Emily, and dog, Mona. Disillusioned by the unending grind of life in the city, they quit their jobs and hit the road in pursuit of a life built upon deeper meaning. Since then the road has led them to the farthest reaches of the United States and Canada. Playing shows everywhere from ‘The Howling Dog Saloon’ in Fox Alaska to ‘Florida Keys Brewing’ in Islamorada Florida, to the ‘Gramercy Theatre’ in New York City. All along the way getting to share stories and music with the tapestry that forms the true heart of America.
Born in Southern Oklahoma and raised in East Texas, Kenny’s music is a reflection of the world he grew up in. Painting the portrait of a man holding out hope in the face of adversity and despair.
Sounds of Texas Blues and Americana blend together in a passion filled performance that can’t be ignored. Guitar influences of Stevie Ray Vaughan shine through and songwriting heavily influenced by the well-versed history of the Texas Singer-Songwriter creates a sound that is familiar and new, one in the same.
Kenny is currently in the last stages of recording his second album to be released in the Winter of 2020.
