After studying at a classical conservatory in Northern California, Kacee moved to Los Angeles and began modeling, acting, and doing commercial work as a singer and writer. She has produced and released 4 solo albums: Seeing Red, Mama Came to Sing, Short On Time & Money (EP), and Ashes to Eden, and contributed to many other artists’ records as a co-writer and singer. She has also toured extensively with both Joe Cocker and Luis Miguel as a background singer, and with Big Brother and the Holding Company as their lead vocalist. She has recorded and/or performed with many artists, including G.E.M., Richard Marx, Michael Bolton, Beth Hart, and Guy Sebastian.
Kacee has been very involved in the theater world and in 2013-2014 played the alternate lead in the Broadway production of A Night With Janis Joplin at The Lyceum Theatre. Her regional and other credits include: Breaking Through (Pasadena Playhouse), A Night With Janis Joplin (McCarter Theatre, A.C.T., Alley Theatre, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Pasadena Playhouse, ZACH Theatre, San Jose Repertory), Love, Janis (San Diego Repertory, Kansas City Repertory, Downstairs Cabaret Theatre), Your Town Follies, a Cirque Comique (El Portal Theatre), and in 2019 made her directorial debut while co-starring in A Falling Star at Buzzard’s Roost at McCadden Theatre for the Hollywood Fringe Festival, a show that in 2023 became an old school radio play in 4 acts.
Kacee was a member of the LA College of Music faculty 2008-2015 as a vocal and performance instructor and was instrumental in designing the physical performance program, rock history curriculum, performance classes, and the mentor program. She continues to work as a private coach and producer for independent and signed artists, theater casts (coaching productions of Spring Awakening, The Last 5 Years, Dogfight), actors, and voiceover talent.
Kacee has appeared as a singer/actor in multiple film and TV productions, including Mobsters (Universal Pictures), Franklin Fogerty, Kid Detective (DKA Productions), White River Tales (AFI), The Tonight Show (NBC), Regis & Kelly (ABC), Parkinson (BBC), and Soap Talk (ABC). She has also been a writer/singer/voiceover artist on numerous productions in the film, TV, commercial, and video game industries, including The Tooth Fairy (20th Century Fox), Kinsey (Fox Searchlight Pictures), Barracuda (Mercury Rising Films), Brothers and Sisters (ABC), Fox Sports, Cribs (MTV), Open House New York (NBC), 18 to Life (CBS), The Guiding Light (CBS), Operation Smile, Property Forensix, Zen Foods, HFC Beneficial, HSBC, Heavy Gear (Activision), The Saboteur (AE Games), Teen Digital (Activision).
Kacee relocated to Nashville in 2021 and is busy working as a session and live singer, and master vocal and performance coach.
