UPDATE: Jordan plays weekly at Homewood Hotel, Downtown Nashville and other venues - check Instagram for the latest announcements!
BIO: Jordan Umbach is a Nashville singer-songwriter with Western Pennsylvania roots. His two full-length albums released in Pittsburgh were filled with melodic rock/folk influences and drew comparisons to Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen in media reviews by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and other publications. His debut album, Silhouette of Steel was named a Notable Release of 2010 by the Post Gazette music critics, and his second album, Mercy, was sponsored by a PA Council on the Arts grant and explored themes such as unity, racial equality, and blue-collar narratives of the steel cities of Pennsylvania. His Nashville EP, More to Life, was recorded at the Rukkus Room, and featured Reba McIntyre’s drummer, Tommy Harden. His latest album “HOMETOWN” is being released now, with some songs appearing here.
Since moving to Nashville, Umbach’s music has taken on a more country/singer songwriter sound. He has songs under contract in the Los Angeles catalog of Monica Benson and his new album project, "Hometown," (available now in download and CD in January 2021) reaches back to his steel town roots and includes working class anthems as well as ballads with vulnerability and raw honesty.
If in Nashville, you can catch Jordan playing many of the regular songwriter rounds, as well as in standing gigs at several venues.
Whether solo or performing with a trio or band, Jordan Umbach is an always-passionate performer full of authentic energy and charisma which engages audiences everywhere he plays.
