Destined to be musical, Jason Lee Thomason was born into a home filled with music all the time. With a mother who played piano and sang, a father who sang with her and a sister always practicing piano and singing for church, Jason was bound to fall in the same line. At the young age of three his mother said he was hearing harmony parts and singing on key. Jason took interest in playing instruments early on. At age eleven he took piano and later on took up the drums and harmonica. At first he was very shy in front of crowds, but his chorus teacher in his tenth grade year saw his potential and gave him the big solo in the Christmas Cantata. He finally taught himself how to play guitar and he sang in church and conducted song services for many conferences and events for about 10 years. It wasn't long before he was out of the church scene and into the rock band scene. He and his band were writing and performing originals and covers at all the local bars and festivals for a couple of years. With a wife and three young boys, the bar life just wasn't panning out and Jason knew there was a better way to express himself musically and keep his family intact. In 2007 his wife entered him in the local South GA Colgate Country Showdown. After winning that, the spark lit a huge fire inside fueling his passion for performing LIVE once again. He picked up band members (and long time friends) Tory Harris on keys and Chuck Burnett on drums and won the local North FL Showdown as well and is currently scanning the area for more gigs to keep the fire burning. Jason is a registered songwriter with BMI and his publishing company, Jason Lee Thomason Music, is through BMI as well.
