Bio
James Corbin hails from Asheville, NC and used to front a Southeast favorite Dirt Poor Authority. DPA released two albums under the Hero Recording Company label before the band split in 1999. However, he continued to write and recorded a solo album "Dichotomy" in 2002. He took some time off to finish college and shortly after graduation, James joined the Army and is currently on active duty and has three Iraq tours under his belt. ““When I returned from Iraq the third time, I went into a studio with a friend in Arizona and recorded the songs and titled the collection From Baghdad to Bisbee,” Corbin said. “It is the most honest and overwhelming collection of songs I ever wrote since all but one were written in a tent outside of Baghdad while I was living the song.”

I decided to take the light from underneath the bushel and shed a little. I write music to share with people. I'll continue to post music on this site for my old and new friends and people who stumble on me. Hope all of you enjoy the heart that leads the song.
