Born in Azare Bauchi State, El-Rasheed is an indegene of Gombe State in Nigeria. The Abuja based artiste is a Graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria with a B. Sc in Industrial Design (Glass Technology) and trained in Microsoft Certified Systems Engineering(MCSE).
El-Rasheed readies two singles titled Baby! Baby!! Baby!!! and Babu Kamar Kauna-MetroMix, culled from the EP myHEARTBEATz, a Prelude to the Album titled JAARUMI. Singles were recorded and mixed in Abuja,Jos and Lagos. Singles would be made available on the internet before release on Radio and Television.
His style of music is a blend of genres – contemporary Pop, Soul, Reggae, R&B and trado-African melodies, with inclination to Northern Nigerian (Hausa) flavor.
His unique vocal style and music developed from extensive listening to an eclectic collection of artistes, and environmental influence, through a lifetime. Delving into active music is in recent years; he has had several performances, the responses he got giving him more confidence to vigorously pursue a career. He says, “The response was so delicious that once I tasted it, the appetite grew voraciously, engulfing me totally.”
