Our 8th annual event weekend features some of the hottest artists and talented newcomers from around the country! Atlanta, Ga is the home of BPC POETRYFEST and 2013 promises to be our biggest and best yet with over 40 powerful artists scheduled to perform! ~Thursday Night June 20---Meet-N-Greet at Ocean's Grill & Bar, 4955 Jimmy Carter Blvd. Norcross(Atlanta), Ga 8pm-until(features Laugh Out Loud comedy show) FREE admission ~Friday Night June 21st----BPC POETRYFEST Spoken Word/Poetry at the Hut Villa, http://www.hutvilla.com/ 7130 Buford Highway, Atlanta 30340 (Atlanta) 8:30pm-12:30am $10 Admission ~Saturday Night June 22nd--BPC POETRYFEST Throwback Spoken Word/Poetry at C-Room Live Multiplex, www.c-roomatlanta.com 4013-A Jonesboro Rd. Forest Park(Atlanta, Ga) $5 admission (ALL SATURDAY NIGHT attendees and performers are asked to wear clothing representing the 70s, 80s, or early 90s) *We are asking all attendees of BOTH shows to bring personal hygiene items(i.e. toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, combs, brushes, feminine products) to the event as a donation for the Blessed Angels organization www.blessedangels.org on behalf of the homeless of Atlanta.* **The Hilton Garden-Inn, 3437 Bobby Brown Parkway, Atlanta, Ga(near the airport!) is our Official BPC POETRYFEST 2013 hotel so be sure to call (404) 477-6600 and ask for the Black Poetry Cafe discounted rate for your room!** ***Hourly prize drawings will be awarded at the Saturday night show but you must be present to be a winner!
