In the 60’s and 70’s, I taught guitar and made a living as a lead guitarist, during which time I dabbled in songwriting and was a cowriter on a funk/soul song released in 1975. A decade ago, I downloaded a digital audio workstation, dusted off my guitars and began my songwriting journey. Songsalive.org became my mentor and I have learned more about songwriting then I knew was there and have passionately embraced songwriting as a never ending journey. In 2020, I moved to Prescott, Arizona, which has a surprisingly large and vibrant community of skilled musicians and songwriters that I am becoming more and more a part of.
Beginning with blues, my songwriting ventured into a wide range of genres including adult contemporary, singer songwriter, alternative, rock, Americana, indie, country, and instrumental. My goal is placement of my songs in movies, television, and commercials.
