Damon McLaughlin is a Tucson singer-songwriter and half the acoustic rock duo BreakingTrail. In various rock, jam, and folk bands over the years, he has gigged as far north as Chicago and as far south as Bisbee, Arizona. He is an award winning poet with two books to his credit, and his melodic music is driven heavily by deft lyricism and rich vocals. McLaughlin draws heavily from nature to make his music's metaphors, and he maintains an organic, raw guitar sound to suit them. His Americana tracks pull from country and blues as well as rock, inspired by the music of the Grateful Dead, Chris Cornell, Tom Waits, Susan Tedeschi, Eilen Jewell, and others who know how to jam, tell a story, and scream.
