Dahlia Wakefield is an eclectic powerhouse singer-songwriter, performer, and vocal coach whose style blends “a little bit country/pop and a whole lot of rock and roll.” Born in the Philippines and raised in Maidstone, Saskatchewan, she honed her craft at Grant MacEwan University’s Music Program in Edmonton, graduating with Distinction in Vocal Performance.
Over her 20+ year career, Dahlia has worn many hats—solo artist, booking agent, publicist, mentor, studio session singer, and band member of 8 bands (and various freelance gigs) —earning a reputation as “one of the hardest working women in show business in Edmonton.” She has released three solo albums, numerous singles, and collaborated on duets with artists such as Stirling John, Zackaria and more. Her latest singles, including “Queen of Overthinking” (2024), “Goodbye” (2025) and “Well Dressed Lies” (2025), showcase her dynamic songwriting and commanding vocals and shift to the rock genre.
A founding member of award-nominated country group Dirt Road Angels with 3 albums under their belt including numerous singles, Dahlia has headlined, fronted & also been backup singer in various bands, tribute acts, and acoustic acts, performing across Western Canada and opening for top national acts such as Colin James, Nick Gilder of Sweeney Todd, Headpins and Honeymoon Suite . Since 2011, she has taught vocals and beginner piano, sharing her expertise in technique, harmonies, and stage presence.
