

Cosby Gibson
COSBY GIBSON is an award winning, and Grammy® balloted, performing songwriter living near the Adirondacks. She has performed in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Southern states, Canada, and Europe, at over 1500 events. She plays original acoustic and folk-style songs on guitar, fiddle, and dulcimer. Outstanding performance venues include Falcon Ridge Acoustic Music Scene showcases, A Place for Folk, Macy's Department Store Benefits, F.Y.E. national music stores, Beacon Sloop Festivals, Yankee Candle Village Festivals, shows in Brussels, Belgium, and theater, television, livestreams, and radio appearances. Awards include Best Folk Album in the Capital District Original Music Awards for 2017 and 2018; Dorn Space Award for Music Outreach, 2019, Best Folk Album, 2021, and Outstanding Folk Artist, 2023; and is a nominee for The Thomas Edison Music Awards, 2023. She also performs historic song programs with fellow musician Tom Staudle of historic songs of the Erie Canal, Adirondack Lumber Camp Songs, Poetry and History Songs, Labor Union Songs, and American Revolution Songs for libraries, museums, and historic sites. More programs are Songwriters in the Round and Songwriting Workshops. Cosby has developed a Patron of the Arts program through the Patreon website where listeners pledge for songs, drawings, and videos. Funds are put toward goals such as obtaining equipment, touring, and new ideas.
