Christian Porter
Christian Porter is an 18 year-old singer/songwriter, vocalist, and performer from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Playing guitar, piano, and a variety of other instruments, Christian performs in many bars, restaurants, and other exquisite venues in and around his local area.
Christian has been playing piano for most of his life but only started playing guitar at the age of 14, along with many other instruments that inspired him. Being taught piano at a young age, Christian has gained the ability to excel at many other instruments very quickly. When Christian recieved his first guitar on his 14th birthday, he was able to expand his learning from the piano to the guitar. In recieving his first guitar, Christian was inspired to write. In his first week of learning, Christian wrote his very first original song, "Why Can't You See".
After that day, Christian wrote many more original songs, dealing with love, life, and anything else he experienced. After about 2 years of writing and performing, Christian took his original songs and put them down on tape. In the winter of 2007 to 2008, Christian recorded his very first album of original songs. The album, "One Reason", contained 8 original songs and was released in June of 2008. Today you can purchase Christian's CD on iTunes.
As Christian grew as an accomplished performer, he began to meet indorsement deals with CASIO's PRIVIA line of keyboards and MARTIN Guitars. Christian began to make a name for himself.
Christian's main influence in music is John Mayer. Although, there are many more influences in his life which relates to his variety of music performing and song-writing.
