Name: Brian Donaldson
Genre: American Primitive Guitar / Folk Baroque / New Acoustic
Brian is a self-taught guitarist who's roots are deeply seeded in rock and roll of the mid sixties. It wasn't until the folk-rock era of the 70s while living in Iran that he realized where his talents as a musician lay. A quick change from electric to acoustic 12-String and with the likes of Jorma Kaukonen, Leo Kottke, Stephen Stills, David Crosby, John Fahey,Tom Rush, and, more recently Preston Reed, Andy McKee, Kaki King, and more, he found his form. He personally hopes you enjoy his music. For a good selection of his playing, please listen to SL-1, Prayers Without Words, Manzanar. and Shiraz. His "signature style is to play different time signatures within a song, and more likely to "end the song in a suspended chord, keeping his audience hanging on to the last ringing note."
Again, thanks for stopping by. We hope to update more songs as he develop them.
