Founded upon over a decade of music and lyrics by Rob Wcislo, Bodhisattva has produced a collection of over 100 songs that deliver a modern rock experience with influences ranging from jazz and punk to funk. Wcislo's poetic spirit is reminiscent of iconic artists like Chris Cornell, Bono, and Jim Morrison. Notably, he has been nominated and awarded “Best Singer-Songwriter” multiple times at the local Miami music scene’s annual Oski Awards and won a regional Grammy for his hard-hitting funk anthem, “Deep in the Belly.”
In its current incarnation, the Bodhisattva rhythm section, led by Steve Argy on bass and Larry Hirt on drums, lays down the psychedelic rock foundation for the soulful riffs and eclectic textures of the legendary Pedro Riera and the tasteful keyboards of Sean Beier. Adding a captivating layer to this album, the up-and-coming superstar Deja from the band Yardij contributes sultry and passionate female vocals.
Bodhisattva has recently completed its fourth full-length album, "Butterfly Hurricane," and is already immersed in the creative process for the next project. To explore our music further, you can download Bodhisattva's past releases on iTunes, Spotify, or Amazon.
