Ann Arader has been a singer/songwriter all her life - High School and Summer Theater, original Jazz trio in NY during the 70's, Original Jazz/Rock band in NC the 80's, acted as Musical director for Original High School & College musical reviews, and a women's Thespian group in Durham NC in the 90's. -- After 25 years as a graphic designer/technical consultant and international team lead for corporations, Ann is back to performing as a musical artist and vocalist with a unique and original soulful sound.
- Available for performances at local clubs, house concerts, benefits etc. and puts on a solid show for 1-3 hours as required specializing in jazz styled classics from the 40's through today with special focus on the 1960's thru 70's.
All selections offered here on Reverbnation feature Ann on vocals, guitar, piano, synthesizers, harmonica, bass and percussion via multitracked studio and live recordings.
- Some of the early live recordings were recorded in clubs featuring Ann's original Jazz/Rock band in the 1980's featuring Lou Sawyer on saxophone.
John Westmoreland is a very talented guitarist and teacher who made open air one-take live recordings with Ann - the few cuts with a jazz guitar lead "floating" over Ann's guitar and vocals (and harmonica on House of the Rising Sun) - feature John 's wonderful "off the cuff" improvisations - - note: Ann LOVES to jam and interact with other creative musicians!
