Amante is a electronic/techno music producer, singer, and songwriter. It was at age 11 he became a devoted lover of techno and euro dance music. From that moment on, it was clear that he would forever be bound to the music and it would be a permanent part of his existence.
Growing up, Amante faced a lot of challenges and struggles in his personal life. As he encountered these demons, he found that writing music was a way through the darkness and the emotions he was forced to deal with-for it was the music that became his way of survival.
He produced his very first instrumental song when he was 17 years old and has been creating music ever since. The style of his music was influenced by euro dance duo 2 Unlimited as well as other artists such as Daisy Dee, N-Trance, Magic Affair, and Culture Beat.
By the time he was 21 years old he had finished around 200 instrumental dance tracks. It was around this time he slowly started laying small samples of his own vocals into his music. Very first song he made with vocals was titled “Concentration”. This song had simple vocals of him just speaking. His very next song which entailed him actually singing was “You Make My Heart Beat (Instrumental)”.
As time went on he became more comfortable producing tracks and writing and singing additional lyrics into his music. With more and more practice his music as a whole got increasingly better and was able to get some of his songs played in small clubs. Amante continued to generate music based on occurrences he had in his life. His songs reflected everything from moments of his childhood, falling in love to strange incidences in doctors’ offices, sexuality, and just observing people around him. He believes that writing from what you yourself have actually gone through and are familiar with it makes the music that more intimate/personal, powerful and relatable.
After a few years of trying to come up with the right concept that symbolized the style of music he created, Amante’s Logic was born. Translation is “lover’s logic”. The whole idea behind the name is for it to be a contradiction because love and logic don’t go together. Emotions do what they do, they are unpredictable, and follow no rules. Love is love. The feelings and emotions the songs Amante pours out are based on raw emotions.
