Poet, singer, composer Beatriz Azevedo is Brazilian multi-artist. Graduated in Performing Arts, studied at Mannes College of Music in New York. The labels Biscoito Fino (Brazil) + 121 (France) are releasing her new cd ALEGRIA (Joy), with special guests TOM ZÉ and VINICIUS CANTUARIA.
Beatriz played at Verizon Music Festival and Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York; Popkomm Festival 2008 Berlin, Dunya Festival 2007 Roterdam. Bum Bum do Poeta, the first CD, was released in Brazil by Caetano Veloso's label Natasha Records and in Japan by Nippon Crown. Beatriz Azevedo's music features on the compilation Brazil: The Essential Album, alongside Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, João Gilberto, released by Union Square Music.
